Shari Fiveash fiveink, Fiveash Consulting Hartford, CT
A recognized leader in the Chamber/tourism fields, Fiveash brings 20 solid years of experience in the industry to her Consulting Company. Formed in 2007, fiveink, delivers to for-profit and non-profit alike, a unique prospective on how to achieve peak performance and effectiveness resulting in optimum success. Mostly recently Fiveash completed her post with the United Way of Central and Northeastern CT as a Loaned Executive.
Previously, she held the position of Executive Vice President with Commerce Lexington in Lexington, KY and was directly responsible for the Chamber area of Commerce Lexington and the operations and finance of the entire organization. Additionally she was the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the Branson Chamber in Branson, MO. Fiveash also served as the Executive Vice President of the Chillicothe Area Chamber of Commerce in Chillicothe, MO. During her tenure there, she led the drive to establish the Chariton Valley Region of Missouri Tourism, participated in the formulation of the state’s co-op marketing program and House Bill 188, created to fund the Missouri Division of Tourism. Additionally, Fiveash has operated hotels, convention center, restaurants and lounges in other regions of the United States.
As an active member of the Missouri and Kentucky tourism and Chamber industries, Fiveash served on the boards of the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Executives, the Missouri Hotel/Motel Association, the Missouri Restaurant Association and numerous Missouri Division of Tourism committees. Fiveash has also written grants for the state’s Arts Council and Co-op Marketing Program, as well as served as an evaluator for the state’s program on several occasions.
While in Kentucky, Fiveash was a member of the Lexington Rotary Club, and participated in the Bryan Station Mentor Program. She served on the boards of Lex Arts, Lexington Area Sports Authority, the World Equestrian Games Idea Engine, and the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve. Fiveash also volunteered as the Every Life Counts Capitol Campaign Coordinator for Southern Acres Christian Church.
On the local Hartford level, Fiveash volunteers at the Hartford Rescue Mission and Center Point Community Church.
She is the wife of Randy Fiveash, Director of Tourism for the State of Connecticut and proud mother of two vivacious children, 18 and 22 and step child 38. |
