What is ERCCA?

The East of the River Chambers of Commerce Association (ERCCA) assists member chambers in promoting the economic, commercial, industrial professional, cultural and civic welfare of the region by coordinating legislative initiatives and sponsoring business programs to address areas of mutual benefit and concern. Member chambers include East Hartford Chamber, Glastonbury Chamber, Manchester Chamber, North Central Connecticut Chamber, South Windsor Chamber, and Tolland County Chamber.

As a coalition, ERCCA seeks to represent the common interests its members by communicating with them concerning regional or state legislative actions that may affect their operations and by providing regional promotional and/or networking opportunities.

ERCCA serves on the Hartford Springfield Economic Partnership also known as New England’s Knowledge Corridor.  Linked by the Connecticut River and I-91, Greater Hartford and Springfield form an economic powerhouse working to attract business, industry and employees to the region.

ERCCA provides support and participates in Connecticut Business Day at the State Capitol. Held in March, Business Day provides members with the opportunity to meet their local legislators in an informal atmosphere to discuss issues important to their businesses.

Andrew E. Markowski, Esq. of Statehouse Associates, LLC is the lobbying firm that monitors legislation on behalf of ERCCA.
