The Country's largest clothing consignment STORE TO open Saturday, June 9th
The newest Uptown Consignment will open Saturday , June 9th at 10 AM , at
1735 Ellington Road, Town Center South Windsor. Former Congressman and
State business advocate Rob Simmons will host the Ribbon Cutting & Grand
Opening ceremony which will take place at 9:45. Members of the South Windsor
Chamber, state and local officials are expected to attend. The public is
invited and refreshments will be served.
Uptown Consignment will join Stop & Shop and CVS in the 120,000 Sq.FT- Town
Center Shopping Center and will operate a high-end designer closeout and
consignment store. The newest Uptown will be the country's largest clothing
consignment store and is located less than a mile from the Buckland Mall and
Evergreen Walk.
Uptown's Rocky Hill location has been very successful and with the
additional space of the new store will be adding a "Designer" section
featuring fashions and accessories from some of the world's finest designers
at bargain prices.
Uptown Consignment began in 1991 as a 2,000 Square ft store on Rt. 3 Rocky
Hill in the Shunpike Village shops and doubled in size within 2 years.
Uptown has over 30,000 consignors and already has a large base of customers
in South Windsor and the surrounding areas. Uptown sells and consigns new
and pre-owned Ladies, Children's, Men's Fashions, Accessories, Home Decor
and more. There are plans on the drawing board for additional expansions.
