Saturday, 6.15.08 ARNIE'S ARMY BATTLES PROSTATE CANCER. Willow Brook Golf Course is sponsoring a Closest To The Hole Contest on Father's Day to benefit Arnie's Army Battles Prostate Cancer. Spearheaded by PGA Legend Arnold Palmer, this cause is dedicated to encouraging men to get tested and to eliminate prostate cancer as a life-threatening disease. One hole will be designated for a Closest to the Hole Contest. A donation of $20 gives you a chance to win an Arnold Palmer putter by Callaway. In addition, each player will receive a ONE-YEAR SUBSCRIPTION TO GOLF DIGEST MAGAZINE, an awareness card and an Arnie's Army lapel pin. Food vendors may be an established business or non-profit organization. Many different items are available to sell as the new carnival provider has given us full control of the food. South WindsorOpoly Games will be on sale at SW Junior Women's Club (SWJWC)events this summer and in the Chamber office for $25/game. Games will be on sale at the Strawberry Festival on June 14, at the Boundless Playground Anniversary celebration on June 28 and at VMP Movie Night on Aug.2. SWJWC welcomes all women interested in offering their time and talent for community service or to just meet new friends.
