The 116th Wapping Fair remains without a location despite the best efforts of the Town of South Windsor and the South Windsor Jaycees. The fair requires more than 12 acres to accommodate both the fair and parking for attendees, but consideration is being given to use shuttle service in the event a smaller piece of land could be utilized for the event. The fair, which draws over 25,000 people each year, raises money used by the Jaycees to support various local causes such as the SWPD canine unit, SWFD, Boundless Playground, Recreation Department Ropes Course, Family Awareness Day, Human Services and many more.
