Welcome!

Aletheia Psychological Services opened in April, 2006. After working as a staff psychologist with the Traumatic Stress Institute for over five years, Christine H. Farber, Ph.D., owner and director of Aletheia,
founded this practice based on a humanistic and trauma-informed approach to psychological well-being.

Aletheia (pronounced Al-ee-thee-a) is a Greek word that is often translated as “truth,” and literally means “un-forgetting.” It refers to the truth or essence of something as it is revealed from within itself. Dr. Farber chose this name based upon her belief that we all have inner wisdom that guides us in life.

Through our services, we seek to honor that wisdom and guidance. This means that our approach to psychotherapy, consultation, and training is collaborative, respecting the knowledge and intuition that people already have about themselves and whatever challenges they face.

Aletheia is located at Wentworth Park, 225 Oakland Road, Unit #301, in South Windsor, CT. It is a comfortable, handicap-accessible, smoke-free office space. For more information about services or to set up an initial consultation, please call us at (860) 432-8016.
