South Windsor Chamber Business Person of the Year

Colleen Sullivan

Colleen is a dedicated physical therapist who owns Physical Therapy Plus in South Windsor, where she will be celebrating the business’s 20th anniversary in 2026. She received her master’s degree in physical therapy from Springfield College, MA in 1997. In 2006, she opened her business in South Windsor, and it has become a successful and highly regarded practice throughout the area. Colleen and her physical therapists maintain the highest standards of patient care. They regularly receive referrals from other medical professionals throughout the area. And as a true business leader, she has provided space in her office to several other professionals who were in the process of starting their own practices and needed a temporary location while they waited for their own doors to open.

Colleen has served the South Windsor business community through her many years of dedicated service to the South Windsor Chamber of Commerce. She has held many positions including Golf Committee chairperson, Nominating Committee member, Scholarship Committee member, and SW Chamber Board Member, and President of the Board of Directors. Physical Therapy Plus was recognized as the SW Chamber Small Business of the Year in 2022.

Over the years Colleen and her staff have received multiple treatment certifications to improve their service offerings including:

• Vestibular and Concussion

• Blood Flow restriction

They have become very skilled and comfortable in helping people with chronic pain issues. And they have 66 very positive google reviews from happy patients.

Colleen has been very active with the Irish American Home including serving on their Board of Directors. She has also spent many years as part of the West Hartford and South Windsor Saint Patrick’s Day parade committees. She has been a volunteer coach for the Cruisers wheelchair sports team, based out of the Hospital for Special Care in New Britain, for track & field and swimming.
