President

Samantha Gonzalez is an Associate Professor at Manchester Community College where she teaches courses in Communication and co-coordinates the General Studies degree program and oversees the College and Career Success courses. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communication from Southern Connecticut State University, a Master’s degree in Communication from the University of Hartford, and is pursuing a Ph.D. at the University of Connecticut.  She has spent the last twenty years working in higher education in both public and private institutions.

Samantha has a deep history in South Windsor having grown up in town and was pleased to join the Chamber in 2016.  Since her appointment, she joined the planning committee for the Greater Hartford Women’s Conference which she Chaired in 2018, 2019, and 2021 as well as the committee for the annual Restaurant Crawl.  Samantha resides in town with her husband of twenty-five years, Michael, a former South Windsor Board of Education member, and her three children.

A dedicated physical therapist, Colleen received her Masters in PT from Springfield College, MA in 1997. During her many years of professional practice Colleen has provided training in injury prevention, women’s health, post operative rehabilitation and spinal stabilization programs. Colleen opened PT Plus in South Windsor in 2006 where she maintains the highest standards of patient care. She is a provider who truly listens to her patients and provides appropriate treatment to address overall function and wellness of every individual. She prides herself in the fact that PT PLUS is a comfortable and fun environment for patients to truly thrive during their rehabilitation process. Colleen loves the outdoors and staying active. She participates in both golf and soccer leagues, as well as Boot Camp and yoga. Colleen has special manual certifications in GRASTON and Dry needling as well as training for patients with Vestibular and Post Concussive disorders.

Vasanth Kainkaryam, MD, MS is a board-certified Internist and Pediatrician, and holds a Masters in Health Informatics.  Throughout his career, he has been fortunate to have held a variety of roles as a physician, as a medical director, and as a Chief Medical Officer.  He started 4 Elements Direct Primary Care to focus on what he believes is the most important aspect of health care: the doctor-patient relationship.  In this innovative model, he has brought together knowledge and expertise to build a health care experience that is truly focused on the relationship with the patient, building rapport, and meeting people where they are with a holistic approach, all while understanding that health is far more complex than a list of diagnoses or drug interactions.

Annie Mohanty, Financial Services Professional with New York Life,  is a long time resident of South Windsor. She joined the Chamber in 2017. Annie strongly believes in the potential of Young Adults and empowering them to make decisions with confidence ! She is a Mentor in TEMS and SWHS, Fundraising coordinator with the Boy Scout Troop 62 SW and Chairs the Outreach Committee at the Chamber. Annie looks forward to being a valuable resource to the Chamber and the Community.

Jennifer has been an active member of the Chamber since 2005, along with serving on a variety of State boards, Commissions, and Non-profit organizations-always bringing her expertise in insurance and business to the table.

She created her business in 2006 from scratch, and has since become the leading enrollment agency for health insurance in the State of CT. In her spare time, she lobbies in Washington as a Presidential Board member of the National organization, Health Agents for America, fighting for lower health insurance premiums and reforming healthcare as we know it.

In 2011, Jennifer’s agency received the “Business Expansion Award” from the Chamber and she states her most impactful memory of the Chamber is the support she received from the members during her first couple of years in business, when her business was most vulnerable.

Michael Sanzo is a proud husband to his beautiful wife Ashley and a father of three children.  He currently serves as an Account Manager for Imperial Oil, Propane, Plumbing and Heating in South Windsor Connecticut. Michael Graduated for South Windsor High School in 2005 and went on to Assumption College School of Business. He is currently the Treasurer of the South Windsor Chamber of Commerce. He also currently holds a role as the founder and Chairman of the Connecticut Energy Marketers Association Next Generation Leadership Council.

During his tenure as Account Manager Imperial has seen its customer base grow rapidly. The Next Generation Leadership Council has developed a strategic plan that the entire association has adapted. Mr. Sanzo has served on many of the chamber’s committees, he has been involved in the 50th Anniversary, Outreach, the Holiday Social, the Spectacular, the 2018 Restaurant Crawl, the 2017 Business Expo and others.

Mr. Sanzo has a passion for the South Windsor business community and a love for his hometown. He hopes to use his love for South Windsor to inspire other young professionals to get involved in their communities through government or other volunteer organizations.  He is honored to serve the South Windsor Chamber of Commerce.
