FREE Breakfast for South Windsor First Responders
About
The South Windsor Chamber of Commerce is holding a FREE breakfast for the town’s first responders on May 9, 2023, from 6:00 am – 9:00 am at Dunkin Donuts, 855 Sullivan Ave, South Windsor.
With help from Silver and Honorable sponsorships given by the local business community, all first responders of the SW Police Department, the SW Fire Department, and the Ambulance Service of Manchester will be able to receive a free beverage and food item of their choice.
Our first responders work tirelessly and risk their lives every day for our safety and protection, this event is a collective thank you from our local business community. There are sponsorships available for any business that would like to be part of this cause.
Our First Responders
South Windsor Volunteer Fire Department
The South Windsor Volunteer Fire Department proudly protects the lives and property of over 25,000 people living and working in a 28.5 square mile area. Our approximately 130 members, all volunteers, work out of three stations. In addition to our staff officers and line firefighters, we have a Support Unit (Company 6), a Fire & Life Safety Education & Community Outreach Support Unit, and an Explorer Post (Company 5) for members under 18 years old. The Department currently operates 5 engines, 1 aerial platform, 1 heavy rescue, a utility truck and 1 marine unit.
South Windsor Police Department
The South Windsor Police Department is a municipal police agency in the State of Connecticut. The department is authorized 46 police officers and 14 civilian employees and operates on an annual budget of approximately 6,100,000. The department’s mission statement stresses the importance of police professionalism and customer service.
Ambulance Service of Manchester
The Ambulance Service of Manchester is dedicated to providing consistent, timely and clinically excellent service to patients, clients and communities. Today the Ambulance Service of Manchester, LLC has over 180 employees and a fleet of 32 vehicles. ASM seeks out the most advanced medical equipment and lie-saving technology, is staffed by exceedingly loyal employees and continues to make prudent, patient-care based decisions.
