This November, the South Windsor Chamber of Commerce, with help from Premier and Honorable sponsorships given by the local business community, will be providing breakfast to first responders of the Ambulance Service of Manchester, South Windsor Volunteer Fire Dept. and South Windsor Police Dept. In addition, each department will be presented a $500 check made out to a charity they feel passionate about along with any additional needs we can help with.

Our first responders work tirelessly and risk their lives every day for our safety and protection, this event is a collective thank you from our local business community. There are sponsorships available for any business that would like to be part of this cause.

This event is closed to the public for the safety of each department.

Ambulance Service of Manchester

Breakfast Date: November 11, 2020

The Ambulance Service of Manchester is dedicated to providing consistent, timely and clinically excellent service to patients, clients and communities. Today the Ambulance Service of Manchester, LLC has over 180 employees and a fleet of 32 vehicles. ASM seeks out the most advanced medical equipment and lie-saving technology, is staffed by exceedingly loyal employees and continues to make prudent, patient-care based decisions.

ASM Charity Donation: Honor Wellness Center of Manchester
Honor Wellness Center is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization developed to serve the mental health needs of first responders and their families. The Center will house an Intensive OutPatient Treatment Program for the treatment of first responders addictions, mental health and trauma, regardless of their ability to pay for services. There will also be an outpatient counseling program for first responders and their families, as well as a sober living environment.

South Windsor Police Department

Breakfast Date: November 19, 2020

The South Windsor Police Department is a municipal police agency in the State of Connecticut. The department is authorized 46 police officers and 14 civilian employees and operates on an annual budget of approximately 6,100,000. The department’s mission statement stresses the importance of police professionalism and customer service.

SWPD Charity Donation: South Windsor Food & Fuel Bank
The South Windsor Food and Fuel Bank is administered through the Human Services Office, located at 150 Nevers Road and is available for residents who have low income or if they are suffering from a hardship and they need food or fuel assistance.

South Windsor Volunteer Fire Department

Breakfast Date: November 20, 2020

The South Windsor Volunteer Fire Department proudly protects the lives and property of over 25,000 people living and working in a 28.5 square mile area.  Our approximately 130 members, all volunteers, work out of three stations.  In addition to our staff officers and line firefighters, we have a Support Unit (Company 6), a Fire & Life Safety Education & Community Outreach Support Unit, and an Explorer Post (Company 5) for members under 18 years old.  The Department currently operates 5 engines, 1 aerial platform, 1 heavy rescue, a utility truck and 1 marine unit.

SWFD Charity Donation: Connecticut State Firefighters Association Memorial Fund
The Connecticut State Firefighters Association (CSFA) supports firefighters and their families throughout the state. Founded in 1885, the CSFA represents the interests of more than 26,000 Firefighters across Connecticut; 22,625 Volunteer Firefighters and 4400 Career Firefighters. Membership in CSFA is open to any active Connecticut Firefighter over the age of sixteen.

Additional Needs: The SWCC will be providing the dept. 30 new smoke detectors.
