Peter DeMallie is President of Design Professionals, Inc., a sixteen person multi-disciplinary consulting practice with offices in South Windsor. Services include civil engineering, landscape architecture, land surveying and urban planning. Since the firm’s inception in 1986, DPI has been involved in over 4,000 land development projects, ranging from residential communities, retail centers, industrial developments, office buildings, houses of worship and parks to educational facilities. Our primary market is New England’s Knowledge Corridor. Mr. DeMallie was educated in the Westport public schools, attended Hiram College in the Cleveland area, and obtained a graduate degree in community planning from the University of Rhode Island. He has held a number of positions in the South Windsor Chamber, including a term as President, and he is presently Chairman of the New England Knowledge Corridor Partnership, the economic development agency for the nation’s 20th largest market – Metro Hartford/Springfield/New Haven, with a population of nearly 2.9 million. He resides in South Windsor with his wife Anne. They have two children, Erin and Peter, both of whom are married, and four grandchildren.
